A Solo Exhibition by Philippe Gerlach
Philippe Gerlach was born in Grenoble (France) and grew up in Deep River (Canada) and Burghausen (Germany). He graduated from Art University in Linz in 2008 and moved to London to assist Nick Waplington for 1 year.
After a 14-month stint in Paris in 2010, he now lives and works in Berlin.
Philippe Gerlach is a diaristic photographer, sourcing imagery from relationships, daily life and music culture which he combines it into a highly personal, emotional universe, which is constantly reorganised into site-specific installations.
His works have been shown internationally in numerous institutions and festivals including
Fotohof Salzburg, Spinnerei Leipzig, Claire de Rouen London, Rencontres Arles, NY Photofestival and are part of collections like the Österreichische Fotosammlung and La Collection FNAC, Paris
He also has been published through various publications in print and online including VICE Magazine, Modern Matter, Purple Fashion and Odiseo.
