Wang Tianxing (Wang Yishan) was born in 1988 in Neijiang, Sichuan, China and received his MFA in Visual Arts from California University of the Arts in 2015.

His work includes photography, video, and mixed-media installations. He has participated in group exhibitions at the Berkeley Art Museum, Root Division Gallery in San Francisco, and Art Space. In 2015, Wang Tianxing received the Avant Guardian Photography Award from Surface Magazine, and in 2016, he was selected for the Lens Culture Magnum Photography Award. In 2017, his works were exhibited in the "Image Counterpoint" of Jimei-Arles Photography Season, and in the same year, he participated in the "Natural Growth" section of Pingyao Photography Festival.

In 2018, he was a participant in the Xishuangbanna Photo Festival's "Natural Growth: A Small River as an Art Sample" section and received the Elite Art Award in the same year.

He lives and works in Chengdu.
